Emma is a beautiful 11 month old that was born with a macrocystic lymphatic mass. This entails large cyst-like cavities around her neck which contain lumph, a watery fluid that circulates throughout the lymphatic system. It is benign but Emma’s mass was so large (2 pounds) that it obstructed her airway at birth requiring a tracheotomy. The main mass has been removed but has left Emma with a history of chronic respiratory failure and lung disease and she is ventilator dependent. There are many other issues as well that this little girl is battling and she requires around the clock care. She is doing well at this time and her mom says many miracles have already happened and she feels that will continue.
